Enrichment Programs
At Forest Hill Tutoring, we often hear from parents who recognize their children’s potential but are concerned over gaps in foundational skills.
From these conversations and our extensive expertise, we’ve developed a range of enrichment programs tailored for students at every stage of their academic journey.

Writers Workshops
Our Writers Workshops are ideal for students who can benefit from additional support in the fundamentals of effective composition and in mastering the various stages of the writing process.
Students consolidate their understanding of grammar and language conventions, analyze the stylistic and rhetorical strategies of different text types, and experiment with various models of writing, from descriptive and expository paragraphs to personal and analytical essays.
Particular attention is given to the many stages of the writing process, from initial brainstorming and development of ideas through research and analysis to the composition of first drafts and the final steps of revision. Students benefit from extensive feedback as they revise their writing projects and move forward as more confident and sophisticated writers.
Our Writers Workshops are offered at the following levels:
- Primary (Grades 3 & 4)
- Elementary (Grades 5 & 6)
- Junior (Grades 7 & 8)
- Intermediate (Grades 9 & 10)
- Senior (Grades 11 & 12)
Each Writers Workshop includes 16 hours of 1-1 direct tutoring support.
Back to School Math & English Reboots
While those long summer days provide valuable opportunity for fun and relaxation, they can also leave students ill-prepared for the rigours of a new school year. Indeed, as September approaches, many students find they have “forgotten” aspects of their prior learning and are less confident in applying their academic skills.
Our Back to School Math and English Reboots are designed to address these learning challenges and ensure that each student begins the school year primed for success.
We offer Reboots from Grade 2 to Grade 6, with each grade-level program focusing on math and language skills. All Reboots review previous learning, addressing any “trouble spots” that might hinder success in the coming year. Our tutors reach back as much as they reach ahead in consolidating existing knowledge, remediating skill deficits, and extending the learning in anticipation of the coming year.
Each Reboot includes 16 hours of 1-1 direct tutoring support.
Math Boosters
Our Math Boosters support students at different points in the elementary and secondary mathematics pathway.
Each Math Booster has been developed with two goals in mind: ensuring sufficient mastery of the previous year’s curriculum to support future learning and introducing students to the coming year’s curriculum for a jump start on the learning ahead. Our tutors are especially focused on addressing skill deficits that may have accumulated over the previous years of schooling. In our experience, this type of remediation is crucial for mathematics success.
We offer Math Boosters at the following levels:
Junior (Grades 7-10)
Intermediate (Grade 11)
- Functions
- Functions and Applications
Senior (Grade 12)
- Advanced Functions
- Calculus and Vectors
- Mathematics of Data Management
The Junior Math Boosters include 16 hours of 1-1 direct tutoring support, while the Intermediate and Senior Math Boosters include 20 hours of 1-1 direct tutoring support.
Science Boosters
Our Science Boosters have been developed with two goals in mind: ensuring sufficient mastery of the previous year’s curriculum to support future learning and introducing students to the coming year’s curriculum for a jump start on the learning ahead.
Our tutors are especially adept at identifying and addressing knowledge and skill gaps relating to the big ideas of the various branches of science.
We offer Science Boosters at the following levels:
Junior (Grades 9 & 10)
Intermediate (Grade 11)
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
Senior (Grade 12)
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
The Junior Science Boosters are designed to ensure that students establish the foundation to be successful in the more focused and challenging upper-year science courses.
The Intermediate and Senior Science Boosters allow students to delve deeply into a particular branch of science and establish the foundational knowledge and skills to be successful in senior-level science courses and post-secondary study.
The Junior Science Boosters include 16 hours of 1-1 direct tutoring support, while the Intermediate and Senior Science Boosters include 20 hours of 1-1 direct tutoring support.
